'Hold my heart, not my hand.'
This narrative works through a young girl's struggle to come to terms with her disposition in terms of how it fits into relationships. The story starts with shots of the subject interacting with her boyfriend. Close up shots of his 'kind' gestures and her reactions emphasize them. Turmoil builds in the second scene of the video as the couple argues futilely as neither understands what is wrong. Finally the girl realizes that by being so concerned with doing things for her, her boyfriend is smothering her. She explains it to him as 'I need you to hold my heart, not my hand.' The video concludes with the girl happy as she is no longer treated like a child or extremely fragile object, but a person.
