Documentary Subjects
1. Tequila Mockingbird
Tequila Mockingbird is a fierce drag queen hailing from Muncie, Indiana. The focus of the documentary would be to highlight her wildly different lifestyle, and try to display it in a light that is easy for the common person to understand and accept in a fun, positive light. We would follow Tequila around her daily business, in and out of grand costume, in order to dispel misunderstandings about her world for those who see it negatives. We would also get interviews with her, her cohorts, and citizens of the town where she grew up in.
2. Flourish Boutique
Flourish boutique is a home-grown business from the South Bend area. The focus of this documentary would be to highlight the process and difficulties of starting your own business in a small area. We will interview employees, and the owner of the shop and get the inside story on how the shop runs and what is key for a successful business. We will also interview the owner on her business's recent success and business tips.
3. Coach Steve Bruce
Coach Steve Bruce is the head women's basketball coach at Indiana University South Bend. Many of the workers and patrons of the Student Activity Center at Indiana University have developed a relationship with the kind-hearted, ever-present figure-head of the facility. He is as friendly and inviting as he is mysterious. So this documentary will strive to dig deeper in understanding this man and his role in the workings of one of IUSB's biggest facilities and centers of student life. He is a wise soul with valuable insight on athletics, school, and life and to get his story on camera will surely inspire all.
